Home-style Piedmont, never rushed
It has stayed in the family ever since, passed down from generation to generation, and the cooking is typical Piedmontese, made with local ingredients.
The menu changes with the seasons and with what is available; desserts are made in-house and the small but well-stocked cellar holds local and Italian wines.
The long Sunday lunch
Sunday is the trattoria's day: families, friends, long tables. In summer lunch moves to the garden, in winter to the small indoor rooms.
The rooms also suit small celebrations and group lunches or dinners. For Sundays it is best to book ahead.

Hours and address
Lunch Monday to Friday and on Sundays, dinner Monday to Wednesday. We are in the countryside of Mondovì, in the hamlet of San Giovanni dei Govoni: an easy drive from Mondovì's hilltop old town and the Sanctuary of Vicoforte.
